Click your heals together 3 times.....

Sometimes I wish I was like Dorothy and could just click my heals 3 times and get home. I am sitting in Norfolk airport, my flight is delayed and so are the other 5 going to EWR. I love the lack of communication, the boards here say ATC delay, the continental website says on time. Not sure how that works but whatever, at least I am not sitting on the plane waiting like we did on our way here.Had a great week, I always enjoy spending time with my grandparents, it reminds me how lucky I am to still have them. Took tons of pictures, the problem with that is I am in none of them (as usual) hoping someone else in my family took at least one of me so I can prove I was there. Then again the red blotchy stuff on my thighs and arms from sun exposure shows I was there. I think I am some type of mutant who is allergic to sun screen. I swear I bathed in SPF45 and still got fried. I used to say my ideal job would be testing sunscreen on the beach somewhere tropical with a cocktail in each hand. Not sure I have the skin for that anymore. (not sure I ever really did, I think I was living a pipe dream)
One of the highlights of the week was the bon ires we built on the beach, with a backdrop like this how could they not be perfect? The picture would be better but this one was taken after a bottle of wine (yes you read that correctly, I drank a bottle of wine) kind of funny considering I never drink around my family. I just couldn't help myself, the full moon, the waves crashing, the awesome bonfire I built, it just seemed like the right thing to do.

All in all it was a great vacation, now all I need to do is get home!!

Looks like an awesome time. Girl, I know what you mean about not being in any photos. The only reason I have so many of myself...is cause I'm vain...and I can rock those
Self-portraits..."myspace" style..LOL.
seriously I haven't master my SLR focusing with a timer and me running into the shot. Plus it takes all the "in the moment" greatness out of it!!!

I'm glad you made it home safe. Can't wait to see what you've got coming.

Nice photos!

I admire you not drinking in front of your family.

I drink TO DEAL with my family.

Oh hell, who am I kidding? I drink to deal with everything!
